Our Story: The Meaning Behind Kenjya-Trusant
Every great company has a story, and ours began in 2002 with the creation of two companies – Trusant Technologies and The Kenjya Group.
Though different in focus, both organizations were founded by former Army officers who shared a commitment to service, integrity, and excellence.
Trusant Technologies, launched by Vince Marucci and Joe DiGangi, was rooted in trust and truth. The name “Trusant” blends these two core values – trust and truth – forming the foundation of the company’s mission to help clients navigate complex challenges in technology and business environments. It also has roots in Latin, meaning “that which has been thrust upon you,” symbolizing the unpredictable demands of technological change and the need for reliable partners in fast-moving environments.
At the same time, Larry Medler and Rich Kubu founded The Kenjya Group, focused on providing strategic consulting to government clients. Their name combined the Japanese words “Ken” (knowledge or insight) and “Jya” (strategist or advisor), highlighting their role as informed and trusted guides through complex challenges.
Both companies thrived independently for more than a decade, delivering impactful solutions to defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. In 2015, recognizing their shared values and complementary strengths, they joined forces to form The Kenjya-Trusant Group.
This merger blended two cultures focused on service, quality, and mission support. Together, we’ve supported critical government operations across cybersecurity, acquisition, IT, engineering, and program management. From the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community to the Department of State, our team has continued to grow and succeed.
Today, our name … Kenjya-Trusant … reflects the best of our beginnings:
- Kenjya: Knowledge. Insight. Strategy.
- Trusant: Trust. Truth. Resilience.
We are proud to support national security missions, serve with purpose, and build a company where people want to work and clients want to stay.
